How long does it take?
About three to four weeks from your deposit to going live. The first draft comes about two weeks after I have your deposit and photos.
How much of my time will it take?
About three hours in total, spread over a few weeks: the form, a 30 minute call, gathering photos, looking at the draft, and a 30 minute call to go live.
I don't have a logo or good photos.
That's common. Phone photos of your work, your place and your team usually do the job. If you don't have a logo, tell me on the call and we'll work out what makes sense.
What if I don't like the designs?
You see two different looks before I build anything, and you can mix them. If neither feels right, we talk it through and I adjust before the build starts.
Who writes the words?
I put them together from your form and our call, and I go over every line myself. You read every page before it goes live, and you can change anything.
Can I change things myself later?
Yes. Text, photos, hours and prices are point and click, and I show you how on our last call. For bigger changes, ask me and I'll give you a price first.
Is there a monthly cost?
Your site runs on Wix, and Wix bills you directly to keep it online: about $18 to $40 a month on a yearly plan, depending on features like online booking. A web address like yourbusiness.com is about $20 a year, and the first year is often included with a yearly plan. I don't charge a monthly fee.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The site and your web address are in your name and paid by you. If you ever stop working with me, nothing changes and nothing needs to move.
What happens to my current site, web address and email?
Your current site stays up until the new one is ready. If you already have a web address, like yourbusiness.com, you keep it and your email keeps working. If you don't have one yet, we pick one together.
Will it show up on Google?
I set up the basics Google looks for: page titles, descriptions, your business details and a link to your Google Business Profile. No one can honestly promise a ranking, and I won't.
I already use a booking or ordering app. Will it still work?
Yes. If you use something like Square, Vagaro, Fresha or Toast, I add a button that opens it, so customers book or order the way they do now.
Will you move things over from my old site?
Yes, anything worth keeping: words, photos, menus, price lists.
